Professor Chul-Hee Lee received Ph.D degree (2006) from the department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, U.S.A. Prior to that, he got BS (1994) and MS (1996) in Mechanical Engineering from Inha University, Korea. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering of Inha University(2006.9~). His primary research area, so far, has been in the area of Component Design & Optimization, Tribology in Machine Components, Dynamics & Control of Mechanical Systems, Driveline System/Component Design & Vibration Analysis.

  - Structural Optimization and Topology Optimization Reliability based Optimization

  - Tribology (Friction, Adhesion, Wear, and Lubrication) Research
  - Dynamic Interaction (Micro-slip, Contact Stiffness, etc)
  - Life prediction for the recycling components
  - Range from Practical Tribological Problems to Micro level system
  - Low Friction technology to increase Energy Efficiency

• Dynamics & Control of Mechanical Systems
  - Identification of Dynamic charac- teristics in vehicle system.
  - Construction of active control system using Smart materials.
  - Flexible multi-body dynamic analysis including Engine, Transmission, Drivetrain, Brake,
    Tires, Suspension, Steering and Hydraulic systems.

• Driveline System/Component Design & Vibration Analysis
  - Dynamic Finite Element Analysis Driveline system with Flexible Multi-Body dynamics
  - Torsional and Bending Vibration Performance Analysis
  - Driveline model incorporates engine, transmission, driveshaft, differential, coupling/joint and ETC
